Shivani Shanmugadas, MSW, LSW

Shivani Shanmugadas is a Licensed Social Worker in the state of New Jersey. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology, then completed her Master of Social Work degree from Rutgers University. Shivani has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in individualized and group settings. She has experience counseling individuals with depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders, relationship issues, and adjustment problems.

Shivani primarily utilizes a strengths-based approach and believes that by being empathetic and non-judgmental, she can work with her clients to create a therapeutic space that is both safe and understanding. She openly advocates for marginalized communities and works towards ending mental health stigma.
